Center Development
Update
The expansion of
Dhamma Pakasa to
accommodate the
growing demand for
courses is about to
take another major
step forward. This
September-October we
will do an 1100 square
foot expansion of the
dining hall and
kitchen, and will be
able to complete
another portion of the
new septic system.
This will accommodate
the first phase
development plan to
bring our maximum
capacity from a
maximum of 50 to 80
students.

Old Student
Service and Support
The existence and growth
of any center depends
entirely on the
support of old
students. In
addition to the
countless hours of
service and
contributions made by
many, this portion of
center expansion was
greatly aided by a
recent substantial
gift of Dana from an
old student, and by
several old students
who have their own
companies that will
provide excavation and
backfill, concrete
work, and wood
framing.

Childrens
Courses
In 2015, there was
such an enthusiastic
interest in the
Childrens Course at
Dhamma Pakasa, that 41
students and 31
servers filled the
Dhamma Hall to an
almost uncomfortable
capacity.
Therefore, in July
2016, it was decided
to have two CCs, one
Saturday and the other
on Sunday. The
hope was that more
children could be
served and that many
of the adult servers
would elect to stay
for both courses.

Virtual Service
Opportunities
Dhamma Service
Committee
There
are many ways to do
Dhamma
service.
Ideally, old
students can come to
the center and serve
a 10-day course. But
there are other ways
to serve away from
the center.
Many old students
serve offsite on
committees that are
vital to center
functioning such as
Communications
(formerly Outreach),
Finance,
Registration, and
Technology.
One such committee
is the Dhamma
Service Committee
(DSC).
