 Children’s and Teens’ courses update:

This year, two Children courses for ages 8-12 are being offered on June 22 and June 23. Students will choose one course to attend, but we hope that a full complement of servers will plan to be available for both days. Registration starts mid-April and courses can fill up quickly, so it’s not too early to think about attending.

Also, a Teen course will be offered for ages 13-17 is being offered from August 31 to September 2. Registration will start on June 30.

These courses offer young people an opportunity to learn to practice Anapana meditation and some to take their first steps on the path of Dhamma. Anapana is non-sectarian and thus it can be practiced freely by all, in any place, at any time; it does not conflict with any race, community or religion and proves equally beneficial to one and all.

In addition to meditation instruction and practice, there are non-competitive activities such as stories, discussion sessions, snacks, games, and art. Group leaders personally accompany and assist students throughout the course, providing support and guidance as needed. Parents or guardians who are old students in this tradition are welcome to register and provide service in a variety of ways.
